My wife's friend said 'you just make broken things work again' and it made me see my job completely differently.

Totally get that shift in how you see your work. That's a really cool way for your wife's friend to put it. Had a similar thing happen when a customer called us "house doctors" after we fixed their furnace in the dead of winter. It's not just a machine, it's their warm home and a working kitchen. Changes the whole vibe of the day when you frame it that way.
