Old Frigidaire vs new one night and day difference after 8 years

I got called out to swap a 2015 Frigidaire side by side for a 2023 model yesterday. The old one had a sealed system that hummed like a lawnmower and the new one ran quieter than my car's AC. Has anyone else noticed the compressor quality drop off around 7 years with these things?

Man that humming noise is the worst. I had a 2016 Frigidaire freezer that started doing that same thing around year six, sounded like a small engine was running in my garage. Did yours get a little louder right before it went out completely?

Figured out something with my 2018 model that might help. Check if your drain pan is cracked or if there's standing water underneath the condenser coils. That humming can actually be the compressor fighting harder because the fan is hitting water spray. Pulled mine out, dried everything up, and the noise dropped by like half. Also, clean the coils REALLY good with a vacuum brush attachment, not just hitting them with canned air. Dust buildup makes the compressor work overtime and that's when the humming turns into a death rattle. Mine lasted another three years after I started doing that every six months.
