PSA: stop telling people to clean the dryer vent with a leaf blower, I learned the hard way in Council Bluffs
I used to be the guy on here saying a leaf blower and 20 feet of hose was the fast way to clear a dryer duct. Then last Tuesday a customer's run clogged solid at the second elbow and I packed lint into a plug so tight it took two hours and a $45 auger to break loose. The real fix is a vent brush on a drill plus a shop vac at the outside hood, and you check airflow with a cheap anemometer before you button it up. I changed my mind because I watched a 78 year old retired tech do it in 15 minutes at the house on Pierce Street and my way had already failed twice that month. Anyone got a brush kit they actually like for long runs with three or more elbows?
