Remember when we used to fix dryers with just a multimeter and a screwdriver?

I pulled apart a dryer last Tuesday in Nashville and there were eight different boards and sensors in there. Twenty years ago it was just a timer, a thermostat, and a motor... feels like we're swapping computers more than we fix machines now. Any of you guys feel like the newer stuff is harder to diagnose or just me?

Eh, more data means easier pinpointing once you learn the system.

Three years of data on a single car model taught me the opposite - too much noise makes it harder to spot the real patterns. It's like trying to hear one conversation in a crowded stadium.

Honestly, is it really that serious though? @sam_wood60 has a point about the noise - three years of data on one car model is a lot of junk to sift through. I get that more info helps but sometimes it just adds layers of confusion. Not everything needs to be turned into a grand system analysis thing.
