Serious question, did Whirlpool quietly cheap out on their door hinges?
Replaced a 2019 French door hinge last week and it was all plastic where the 2014 model used to be steel, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this kind of switch in newer units.
Plastic where steel used to be is the oldest trick in the book. They save like 40 cents a unit and the hinge snaps in year three. Whirlpool figured most people sell the house before it matters.
