Showerthought: I laughed at the old timer who said to put a fridge on blocks for leveling, now I do it on every install

Blew out a compressor on a Samsung last spring because the floor was off by a half inch, and after replacing it I tried his method with some rubber pads and a level, and that fridge has been running quiet for 8 months straight, so am I the only one who thought shimming was overkill until it cost you real money?

Blew a compressor on a fridge? Man that's rough, I would have been so pissed if that happened to me. I always thought shimming was some boomer thing too until I saw my buddy's fridge shaking like crazy on an uneven floor. Now I'm all about the rubber pads and a level, it's such a small thing that saves you a ton of headaches later. Seriously, a half inch is nothing until it ruins your whole day.
