Spent 4 hours on a dishwasher that just needed a coin removed from the drain pump
Customer said it was making a grinding noise, and I tore half the unit apart before checking the most obvious spot. Anyone else find the simple fixes take the longest because you overthink it?

Remember my buddy spent a whole weekend trying to fix his car's AC. He was convinced it was the compressor or a leak, buying tools and freaking out. Turns out a leaf had gotten stuck in the cabin air filter intake behind the glove box. He found it by accident when he dropped his phone. The look on his face was priceless, lol.

Read something similar on a car forum a few weeks back where a guy had a mouse nest in there. Cabin filters are definitely one of those "check the simple stuff first" things that everyone forgets about. The leaf thing is classic, happens way more than people realize. I always tell friends to pop that glove box down and take a look before they even think about touching the compressor. Saves a lot of headache and money.
