Spent 4 hours on a new fridge with a hidden drain line clog
Customer called about water under their new French door model, I figured it was a simple defrost issue. The whole pan and drain line looked clear, but a tiny piece of plastic from the factory was wedged way up in the line behind the insulation. What's your go-to method for checking a line that seems open but isn't?

Sounds like a lot of work for a plastic shaving. You sure the customer didn't just spill something?

That exact scenario happened to me last month on a brand new LG. The line passed a basic pour test but water still backed up. My go-to is a long, flexible plastic bristle brush from a parts kit, followed by compressed air. If that doesn't clear it, you have to pull the liner and check behind the insulation where the line makes that hard turn. Factory debris gets stuck there all the time.
