That Frigidaire ice maker that stopped working after 3 months
Installed a Frigidaire ice maker kit for a client in Phoenix last month. Worked perfect for 3 months then just died. Anyone know if these new models have a common failure point?

Hang on, is it really that dead? I mean, could it be something simple like a frozen water line or a stuck float? Idk, I've seen people toss out a whole ice maker kit just because the little arm got jammed or there was a tiny piece of ice blocking the tray sensor. Maybe try unplugging it for a few hours and plugging it back in first, or just give the whole thing a good thump. Sometimes these things just need a good reset, not a whole funeral.

Man, that is frustrating. I have seen a bunch of those new Frigidaire kits with the same issue. A lot of people think it is a bad control board that just burns out fast. I would try the reset first but honestly don't bank on it working.
