The 1998 Kenmore washer I fixed last week had a timer I could actually rebuild
Got called out to a place near Grand Rapids last Tuesday for a washer that wouldn't advance past the rinse cycle, and I pulled the timer apart on the kitchen table instead of ordering a new one. Twenty five years ago that was a normal Tuesday, now every machine I see is a sealed board you just swap and toss. Anybody else still keep a box of old timer contacts around, or am I the last one?
