Tried to fix a Samsung fridge ice maker for the 4th time this morning

The auger motor seized up again after I replaced the whole assembly 3 weeks ago. Has anyone had luck swapping to a different brand of motor or is this just the standard Samsung curse.

Just a Samsung curse, man. Swapped to a Whirlpool motor and no issues since.

Wait, did your buddy have the timer die too? Mine had to replace the whole control board.
