Climbing spur slip on a wet red oak, should I have bailed earlier?

Last week I was up 40 feet on a wet red oak in Portland and my left spur slid out on a patch of punky bark, took a hard swing into the trunk and cracked my ribs. I finished the takedown anyway because the crane was already paid for, but now I'm wondering, when do you call it and climb down versus push through the sketchy spot?

Hope your ribs heal up fast, that sounds rough.

Oh man, thanks @annahunt, but it's actually my collarbone that's messed up, not my ribs. Doctors got it mixed up on the report too, so no worries. Healing's still slow either way.
