Had a 60 foot oak limb come down on my work truck last winter

Was doing a removal job for a client outside Portland and parked my F-250 under what I thought was a healthy limb. Snow had been heavy that week and the damn thing just snapped right off around noon. Crack went through the cab roof and smashed the windshield flat. Had to call my buddy with a skid steer to lift it off so I could even move the truck. Anyone else had a tree drop something on their rig when you thought it was solid?

At least you don't have to worry about that branch being "healthy" anymore lol.

Well it's not like I was planning on using that branch for anything in particular. But it does make you wonder how long it had been like that before anyone noticed. Did you ever get a chance to look up at the rest of the tree, or was this just the first one to give way?
