Picked a rope wrench over a mechanical ascender for limb walking and haven't looked back since
After 3 days of fighting with a mechanical ascender that kept binding on my lanyard, I swapped to a rope wrench system and finished the removal in half the time - has anyone else found a piece of gear that just clicked immediately?

Honestly my first time using a mechanical ascender I spent more time untangling myself than actually climbing. Switched to a wrench and felt like a genius for about 30 seconds before I dropped it in the mud.

Did you at least find it again, or is the mud still holding it hostage? Sometimes I think the gear gods just want to humble us.
