That perfect week last spring when every dang tree just cooperated
I had one week back in May 2022 where I swear the universe was on my side. Five straight days, no rain delays, no dead limbs falling on houses, no angry clients calling about property damage. I was working a big old white oak in Franklin that had storm damage and normally those jobs are a total headache with all the cleanup. But the limbs came down clean, the crane operator was locked in, and I finished two days ahead of schedule. Even the wood chipper ran smooth the whole time which never happens. I made $1,200 over my normal week and the homeowner offered me a lunch spread that had homemade banana pudding. Has anyone else ever had a stretch that just went right without any fight at all?

Pudding isn't worth writing an essay over, bud.

My buddy Dave once wrote a whole paragraph about butterscotch pudding.
