Went from rope harness to a saddle on day jobs

Used to climb with a simple rope and sit in it all day. Back was killing me after 5 years. Saw a guy using a new saddle at a job in Austin last spring, tried his for 10 minutes. Has anyone else made the switch and noticed a difference?

Yeah, my back was pretty much filing for divorce after a few years in an old rope harness hanging trim. I finally got a proper saddle last summer and it was like switching from a park bench to a recliner. Took about a week to get used to how much more support you have, and my lower back isn't screaming at me by lunchtime anymore. Just wish I had made the switch about four years and a few chiropractor bills earlier.

Victor must have been sitting in a whole different rope than I was because my back was ready to unionize after just two years. I swear those old harnesses were designed by someone who hated tree trimmers or maybe just hated their own spine. Switched to a saddle last month and now I can actually feel my legs again, which is apparently a feature I never knew I was missing. Only cost me about 50 chiropractor visits worth of cash but hey, at least I can stand up straight now without making those old man noises.
