I called total BS on the 'Viking' site in Maine for years

The Goddard coin find from 1957 always seemed like a plant to me, just a single Norse penny in a Native shell heap. Then the 2021 dig at Point Rosee showed actual turf walls and bog iron processing, the exact same stuff found in Greenland. That changed my mind. Has anyone else gone from skeptic to believer on a North American Viking site?

Yeah the "single Norse penny" thing always felt too perfect. I was the same way, totally wrote it off as a hoax until they found the actual turf walls. Now I look like a clown who doubted the coolest history find ever.

Coolest history find ever" is a bar I'd love to trip over and prove wrong.

Read the turf walls were the real game changer.
