Paid $80 for a ground-penetrating radar scan of my backyard, now I believe the hype

I used to think those GPR services were a scam for rich people with too much land. My neighbors kept finding old bottle dumps and a weird brick foundation in their yards, so I figured I'd try the budget option from a local guy in Ohio. He ran the scan over a 20x20 area for about an hour. Found two old cisterns and what might be a collapsed root cellar, all 3 to 5 feet down. Saved me from digging a fence post hole straight into one of them, which would've been a muddy disaster. Has anyone else had luck with GPR on a small residential plot, or did I just get an honest operator?
