PSA: Just learned the oldest known wooden structure is 476,000 years old

Found that in a Nature article about some preserved logs in Zambia. Makes you wonder what else is still buried out there, right?

Isn't it wild how we keep pushing back the dates on everything? I saw something similar about how Neanderthals were making art way earlier than we thought. It feels like every few months there's a new find that rewrites the timeline, you know? Makes you realize how much of our story is still just guesswork.

Yeah, @the_joel, at this rate they'll find out my ancestors were drawing stick figures in caves.
