The lidar scans from that dig in Belize caught me off guard

I was reading about the 2023 survey at Lamanai and the before shots from 2016 show basically flat jungle, but the new scan picked up 3 raised platforms that turned out to be market stalls. Turns out the tree cover was hiding a whole trade area that nobody walked over for years, and the team thinks it was active around 600 AD. Has anyone else seen a site where modern tech totally redraws what we thought the city layout was?

My buddy walked right over one of those platforms in Tikal back in 2019 and never noticed a thing until the drone footage came out.
