TIL my old archaeology professor used to map sites with just a compass and notebook, but now they use drones and 3D scanners for everything.

He told me over coffee that while the new tech in places like Peru finds things faster, he sometimes misses the slow puzzle of piecing a site together by hand, so what's a discovery you think tech has changed the most?

Totally get that. The hands-on connection is a real loss.

My old flip phone felt like a toy, honestly.

Yeah, the "felt like a toy" part is so true... but that was the good part. It was light and simple and you could just snap it shut to end a call. Everything now is just this heavy, fragile glass slab. It demands too much attention.
