Got stuck 6 hours on Donner Pass in a blizzard, and now I keep 3 days of food in the cab: smart or paranoid?
Two years back a jackknifed rig shut down I-80 near Truckee and I ate nothing but vending machine pretzels for 11 hours, so now I haul a full cooler and a camp stove, but my co-driver calls it dead weight we never use.
