I thought raw dogging my questions at the DMV was fine until a clerk in Boise proved me wrong
Went in Tuesday to renew my license and just started asking whatever popped in my head, like where the photo booth was. Clerk named Marcus stopped me and explained that every question goes in a log, so asking something dumb can flag your file for a supervisor review. Now I write my questions down before I go in, and I got out of there in 20 minutes instead of the usual hour and a half.
Anyone else figure this out the hard way, or am I the only one who didn't know the DMV tracks what you ask?
Wow, they actually log what you ask? That's wild. I figured the DMV was just slow because of budget cuts and old computers, not because somebody's writing down that I asked where the bathroom is. So if you ask one too many weird questions, some supervisor has to look at your file? That seems like a lot of work for a place that can't even get the line moving on a Tuesday. I'm writing my questions down from now on.
