Just realized my skeptical view on acupuncture was way off after one visit

I went into a clinic in Austin last month thinking it was all placebo, but the guy stuck needles in my elbow and my chronic sinus headache vanished in 10 minutes. My sinuses have been clear for three days straight now, which is insane since nothing else worked. Has anyone else had a quick win with something they thought was fake?

The thing is, we all have these little blind spots where we just assume something is nonsense until it smacks us in the face. It's like how everyone thought those expensive Bluetooth speakers were a scam until they heard one in a friend's living room and realized, oh, that actually sounds way better than the phone speaker. Acupuncture is the same deal, its one of those things that sounds too simple to work, but then you see it with your own eyes and your sinuses clear up. My whole view on "alternative" stuff changed after I tried a simple breathing method for anxiety that I had laughed off for years. It kind of makes you wonder how many other things we're dismissing just because they don't fit the usual box.

Right? It's like we all think we're so smart until life proves us wrong with something super basic. Seriously though, your breathing trick thing sounds like the kind of thing I'd roll my eyes at but then secretly try in the bathroom at work. Maybe we just need a "dumb stuff that actually works" list somewhere. Acupuncture still creeps me out a bit though, not gonna lie. Those needles look like they belong in a horror movie, not a doctor's office.
