My uncle the mechanic swore by WD-40 for everything, and it finally bit me
He told me to spray it on my car door hinges to stop the squeak, so I did that last summer. Three months later the hinges were bone dry and grinding so bad I had to replace the whole assembly at a shop off I-35. Has anyone else gotten burned by overusing WD-40 on something that needed actual grease instead?
