Picked the manual transmission over the automatic for my commute last month

I went with the stick shift despite sitting in stop-and-go traffic for 45 minutes each way, and honestly the extra control made me feel more connected to driving than the auto ever did. Has anyone else found a way to make a frustrating daily habit actually enjoyable?

Picked the manual transmission over the automatic" and then you mention a 45 minute commute? Man that's harsh. I can barely handle ten minutes of stop and go with a clutch, let alone almost an hour. You must have legs of steel by now.

You doin stop and go city driving or highway too? I had a 35 minute commute in Seattle traffic with a manual and my left leg was constantly sore. Cole Robinson must have the quads of a cyclist by now. I finally gave up after two years and traded for an automatic, best decision I ever made for my sanity.
