TIL the 'Ask Anything' rule about staying on topic actually makes the discussions way better, which I thought was just annoying at first.

I was convinced it would kill free conversation until I saw how much faster I found good answers about fixing my leaky faucet in Milwaukee last month because nobody was posting about their pets or politics.

That "kill free conversation" worry is so real. I felt the same way about the recipe group rules until my stew actually turned out right. The structure just works.

Oh man, this is everywhere! We fight structure because it feels like a cage, but then it turns out the cage was just the frame holding the picture up. I see it with my kid's homework routine, my own workout schedule, even just planning meals for the week. That initial pushback is so strong, but the chaos without it is way worse.

I totally get that "kill free conversation" fear, but seeing the results like your stew changed my mind too.
