Unpopular opinion: that "perfect" Thursday I had last spring was actually exhausting

Everyone talks about having a good day, but mine was weird. I woke up at 5am to a leaky pipe in a house off Elm Street in Portland, fixed it in 30 minutes, then got three more calls that all went smooth. By noon I had made $800, which sounds great, but by 3pm I was bored and antsy because nothing went wrong. Honestly, the chaos of a normal bad day keeps me sharp, and that one perfect afternoon felt hollow. Has anyone else had a day that went too right and it just felt off?

Gotta admit I used to roll my eyes at posts like this, thinking people were just complaining about having it too good. Then last month I had a day where everything clicked perfectly, got all my errands done in half the time, even found parking right away downtown. By 2pm I was just sitting there feeling weird and empty, like I was waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ended up cleaning my kitchen cabinets just to have something to do. Your leaky pipe story makes total sense now, the chaos keeps us on our toes and without it we're just left with our own thoughts.

Right?! It's like we've conditioned ourselves to expect the universe to throw a wrench in things, so when it doesn't we're just lost. My buddy calls it the "calm before the storm" brain, we can't just enjoy a quiet afternoon without waiting for a tornado to hit.
