Vent: My backup plan made things worse and ate 4 days
I kept copies of my client files at my desk AND in a cloud folder, thought I was bulletproof after a hard drive failure in Sacramento. Then the cloud sync glitched and overwrote the good versions with old drafts, so I spent 4 days undoing my own safety net. Has anyone else had a double backup system backfire like this, or am I the only one who outsmarted themselves?

Man, my buddy had almost the same thing happen with his photos, one drive kept the edits and the other kept the originals and they just fought each other until he gave up. He ended up turning off auto sync and doing manual copies once a week, boring but it stopped the mess. Sounds like your setup needs a referee more than a backup.
