Vent: Took my neighbor to small claims over a tree root issue 3 years ago and I still get dirty looks

Back in 2021 my neighbor's massive oak tree roots cracked my driveway something bad. I asked him 4 times over 6 months to help split the $1200 repair cost and he kept saying the roots weren't his problem. Finally took him to small claims court in Phoenix and the judge ruled in my favor for half the cost. Now he won't even wave at me when I'm checking the mail. Has anyone else had a property dispute turn your block into awkward territory?

Honestly, that tree root must have been planning this grudge from underground. Three years of dirty looks over some cracked concrete is next level commitment. At this point you might as well just wave with a shovel in your hand just to make him nervous. Ngl, small claims court is basically the nuclear option of neighborhood feuds even when you win.
