A clerk at the county courthouse told me 8 out of 10 people show up to small claims with no papers at all
I was filing a claim over $1,850 last month in Cleveland and the clerk mentioned most folks walk in with nothing but a story. She said judges still hear them out but the ones with receipts, texts, and a printed timeline win way more often. Do you all tell clients to write everything down before the hearing, or is that just common sense to you?
