Can we talk about how much easier estate planning got once I found the right checklist?
After my aunt passed in Des Moines last fall, I spent 6 months sorting through probate without a lawyer, then found a free online checklist from the state bar that cut my time down to 3 weeks, has anyone else used one of those templates for a simple will or trust?

It's funny how having the right framework for one complicated thing makes you realize most tasks are just about finding better systems. I've noticed the same pattern with tax prep, meal planning, even packing for a trip - once you nail down the process, the whole thing stops being overwhelming. The state bar checklists are solid because they're made by people who see the same mistakes every day.
