A guy at a rest stop in Amarillo showed me how to stack moon shots on his laptop
I used to think stacked moon photos looked fake and overprocessed, like something you'd see on a poster at the mall. Then last Tuesday I pulled into a truck stop off I-40 in Amarillo and got talking to a retired guy with a battered DSLR and a laptop balanced on his hood. He pulled up 80 frames of the moon he shot that same night and showed me how the software pulls out crater detail that a single shot just smears away. I tried it myself two nights later with 45 frames and the difference blew my mind. Has anyone else had a stranger at a random spot totally change how you shoot?
