Hit 500 hours of tracking this month and had to double check my log
I've been keeping a log of every photo session and processing run for about 18 months now. When I added up last month's total I was surprised to see 500 hours just for 2024 so far. How do you guys track your time spent on this hobby without going overboard?

Why would you want to track every minute of a hobby like it's a job? Sounds like a good way to turn something fun into a chore.

Noticed your numbers and it reminded me of a buddy of mine who used to track his fly tying time right down to the minute. @kim_nelson I get what you're saying about it feeling like a chore, but my friend actually found that jotting down his hours helped him figure out he was spending way too much time on a specific step and it made him enjoy the process more once he fixed it. He told me keeping a rough log just helped him stay mindful without it taking over the fun.
