Vent: Spent an hour trying to fix a blurry moon photo and it was just my tripod leg loose
I used to just snap moon pics with my phone and call it a day, blurry or not. Then I got a used Canon T7 back in March and started getting serious. Last night I set up for the full moon, checked all my settings, took like 20 shots and every single one was soft. I was about to blame my lens or the focus ring when I noticed my tripod leg had a tiny wobble. Tightened it up and suddenly got sharp shots at 1/125 shutter speed. Has anyone else spent forever hunting the wrong problem before finding something simple like that?

Laid my phone down on the floor to get a better grip on my tripod and totally forgot about it until I stepped on it trying to get a low angle shot. Spent twenty minutes blaming the camera shake on humidity before I noticed the cracked screen on my phone. Realized I'd been shooting with one hand the whole time because I was holding the phone in my pocket with the other hand, trying to keep it from slipping. At least your fix was tightening a leg, mine cost me a screen replacement and a bruised ego.

Man that's rough... almost like the universe was telling you to just use a remote shutter or something. Reminds me of the time I spent an hour trying to figure out why my car was pulling to the right, only to realize I'd left my tool bag on the passenger seat. Sometimes the dumbest fixes are the ones we overlook.
