My boss told me my weekly project updates were 'too detailed and confusing', so I switched to bullet points with just 3 key things. Anyone have a better format?

Heard about a friend who had the same problem with his reports. He started using a simple template with just three headings: what got done, what's stuck, what's next. His boss loved it because it only took a minute to read. Maybe something that short and clear would work for you too.

Actually, @tessa394's friend had the right idea but missed one key thing. You gotta add a single number or metric to show the scale of the work, not just the tasks. That way the boss sees the impact in that same minute.
