My local grocery store in Springfield put up these new quiet hour signs
I was there yesterday afternoon and saw they now have specific times with dimmed lights and no announcements over the speaker. The cashier told me they started it because a few customers asked for it. Has your town done anything like this in public places?

That's actually a pretty common thing now. They're usually called sensory-friendly hours, not quiet hours.

Sensory-friendly hours" sounds way nicer than what I'd call the normal screaming chaos of my grocery store.

Yeah, fair point. I used to think quiet hours were just some marketing gimmick but seeing how much calmer the store actually is during those times really changed my mind. It's like night and day compared to the usual chaos.
