My 6 year old has eaten nothing but goldfish and plain pasta for almost 2 years, so when he grabbed a carrot stick off my plate on Tuesday I just froze. He ate three of them and then went back to his pasta like nothing happened, and I sat on the kitchen floor afterward feeling like I ran a marathon. For parents who have been through the food stuff, do you keep offering the new thing every day or wait for him to come to it on his own?
