That one Thursday last month where everything went right and it actually scared me
Ngl I had a day back in October where my sensory stuff just... stopped? I went to the grocery store at 5pm on a Thursday, usually a total nightmare for me. But the lights didn't feel too bright, the beeping at checkout was just background noise, and nobody bumped into me in the aisles. It was so good I actually got worried something was wrong with me. Has anyone else had a single perfect day like that and then felt paranoid about it?

You mentioned "it was so good I actually got worried something was wrong with me" and that really struck a chord.

That line "I actually got worried something was wrong with me" is what got me too. But honestly, I think we take this stuff too seriously sometimes. You ever notice how quick people are to call a movie or song "mid" just because it didn't blow their mind? Maybe we're just not used to something being decent without a catch these days.
I get being cautious, sure, but enjoying something isn't a red flag. It's like we've all been burned one too many times by hype trains and now we're suspicious of anything that actually delivers. Could it just be that the piece of media hit the right notes for you, no deeper meaning?
Do you think it's more about being let down before, or do we just overthink our own reactions?
