Vent: My boss keeps saying 'everyone's a little autistic' and it drives me crazy

He said it again in a team meeting last Tuesday when I asked for a quiet space to work. It matters because it makes my real needs sound like a choice or a quirk. I was diagnosed at 15 after years of struggling, and comments like that just erase that. Has your workplace ever handled this kind of thing well?

Ugh, tell him everyone's a little bit of a jerk too.

Know I'm definitely in that club sometimes (sorry, past coworkers). It's a good reminder to cut people some slack, yourself included. We're all just trying our best on a weird day.

Exactly, and honestly the world would be a better place if we all remembered that more often. It's so easy to get caught up in thinking someone's slight was personal, when usually they're just stressed or tired. Giving that grace can totally change a whole interaction.
