I went with the cheaper scan tool over the fancy one and honestly no regrets
So I had to choose between a $500 Autel and a $2500 Snap-On scanner for my shop in Tulsa. Everyone I talked to said go big or go home, that you get what you pay for with these things. But I got the Autel last November and it does everything I need for daily work on Hondas and Toyotas. It reads ABS codes, does bidirectional controls, and even programs some modules for a fraction of the cost. The Snap-On might be faster or have more flashy features, but for what comes through my bay it's overkill. Real talk i cleared a crank no start on a 2015 Civic in under 10 minutes with my Autel last week. Has anyone else had good luck with the budget options or am I just getting lucky?
