Rant: my old boss swore by brake cleaner on oxygen sensors but that just ruined the one I replaced last Tuesday
He told me to spray it down to clean the sensor after I swapped it on a 2015 F-150, and the check engine light came back in under 10 miles, so anyone else ever get burned by bad advice from a senior tech?

Did the sensor you put in have a warranty? Brake cleaner does work on some sensors but only if you don't touch the tip with anything.

Yeah but I gotta respectfully disagree with you on that one. Brake cleaner leaves a residue that bakes onto the sensor tip and messes with the readings. I ruined a brand new Bosch sensor on a Chevy Silverado doing exactly that trick from an old timer. If you gotta clean an O2 sensor just use some throttle body cleaner or even rubbing alcohol and a soft brush, not brake parts cleaner.
