Stop using 12-point sockets on 6-point bolts, seriously

I see guys at my shop grabbing 12-points for everything and it drives me crazy. Took me stripping a critical bolt on a customer's BMW 3-series near Denver last spring to learn that lesson. Anyone else had to fix someone's rounded-off fastener from this mistake?

Oh man, I did the exact same thing on a Subaru Outback last winter and felt like such an idiot lol.

Robin must be a Subaru thing, I swear every Outback owner has done something like that at least once. Is it really even a Subaru experience if you haven't felt stupid in your own driveway at some point? At least you got the right brand for it, those things are tanks for bouncing back from our dumb moments.
