Tried using an impact wrench on a seized bolt in a parking lot last week
Was swapping rotors on my buddy's Civic behind an AutoZone in Phoenix and the impact just laughed at this one bolt, so I grabbed my breaker bar and a pipe and it snapped clean off, has anyone else had better luck with heat over brute force on rusted suspension parts?

Drenched that thing in PB Blaster for like an hour then hit it with a propane torch til it was glowing orange. Worked way better than I expected honestly, just smelled like burnt rust for a week after.

Oh man, that "smelled like burnt rust for a week" part is dead on. I did the same thing on a lower control arm bolt on my old Tacoma, used PB Blaster and a torch until it was literally glowing, like a weird orange rust glow. It worked great actually, the bolt came out with just a ratchet after that. But your description of the smell is perfect, it's like this weird metallic burning smell that gets in your clothes and you can still smell it the next day. Also, I found out the hard way that you gotta be careful with the torch near any rubber bushings (learned that one the messy way).
