Watched a kid fresh out of UTI turn a 2 hour brake job into 45 minutes with one habit
Had a new guy start at my shop off Route 1 in New Brunswick back in April, and I noticed he was tagging every bolt he pulled with a piece of masking tape and a sharpie as he went. First couple jobs I figured it was wasting time, but by the third week his comebacks were zero while mine were still trickling in. Turns out stopping to label hardware and lay it in order on the bench got him through a full front brake and rotor set in 45 minutes versus the 2 hours I used to burn hunting for the right bolt. Any of you run a system like this, or do you just keep it all in your head?
