I wrote off enclosed transport for 3 weeks and ate $400 in gas driving my Civic from Phoenix to Seattle myself
I picked up a new job in Seattle and had 12 days to get my car there. I figured paying a broker $1,100 was a scam, so I drove it myself, two days, one motel stop in Weed, California, plus $400 in gas and 20 hours behind the wheel. A guy in my new office mentioned he shipped his Tacoma with an enclosed carrier for $850 and it showed up in 4 days with zero rock chips. I was wrong about it being overpriced. Anyone here use a broker they trust on the Phoenix to Seattle route, or is direct with the carrier the better move?
