Can we talk about how slow part approvals have gotten?
Back in the day, we could get parts signed off same day. Now it's all online forms and waiting weeks for a reply.

Funny how these systems are supposed to save time. My local library switched to an online booking system for study rooms last year. You now need a form submitted three days ahead, and half the time it glitches and loses the request. So much for quiet reading on a whim.

Actually the three day wait makes some sense for planning library staff time, but the glitchy system is the real problem here. Sarah's point about losing the quiet reading chance hits home because tech should fix that, not make it worse. They probably bought some cheap software that crashes all the time instead of a solid booking tool. Libraries need to test these things before rolling them out to the public.

Ugh, it feels like every new system just adds more red tape. They call it progress but it really just slows everything down for the people who actually need to get things done. When did simple checks turn into such a huge process?
