Found a way to cut wire bundle ring-out time in half using a tone generator trick
Was chasing a intermittent short in a 40 pin cannon plug on a Global 6000 last month and spent 2 hours buzzing pins one by one with a Fluke. Tried hooking my tone generator to the shield and clipping the fox to a ground strap and the whole bad run lit up in like 10 minutes once I knew what to listen for. Anyone else got a trick for finding wire chafes in a bundle without pulling half the loom apart?
