Hit 1000 pin repairs last week and it finally clicked

I was logging a harness repair on a 737 NG and noticed my count hit an even 1000 pin repairs. That's like a decade of digging out stuck pins with a tiny hook tool and re-crimping them. Has anyone else kept a tally of a random task that adds up way faster than you'd think?

Used to think pin repairs were just part of the job and didn't really track them. Then I hit 500 on a single A320 flap harness and realized I'd spent weeks of my life on this one stupid thing. Still hate it when you get a pin that's just barely stuck and you're digging forever trying to pop it out. Now I keep a little tally on a notepad in my toolbox just to see how fast it adds up.

Have you ever tried a pin removal tool with a curved tip, @black.amy? It hooks under the stubborn ones way better than a straight pick so you don't end up gouging the metal. I switched after ruining two connectors on a 737 and it saved me a ton of hassle.
