Burned $2k on a sales CRM that made things worse

I signed up for a fancy CRM after a webinar promised it would organize our pipeline, but three months in we were still manually tracking leads in a spreadsheet. Turns out the setup required a consultant and all the automation just created duplicate entries that confused my team. Anyone else dump a tool and go back to the old way, or did you push through and make it work?

That line about "manually tracking leads in a spreadsheet" hit home. I used to think any CRM was better than nothing, but watching one of those tools double every contact and slow down my team changed my mind real quick. Sometimes the old way with a simple sheet and clear rules beats paying for software that just adds work.
